Fireball Arab-American psychologist Wafa Sultan
Sep 8th, 2007 by Paul Moor
Earlier this week I inadvertently frustrated gambolers in this rumpus room by dangling before you a link to an extraordinary television clip some schmuck evidently zapped out of existence by the time most of you tried to see it. It showed this fireball angeleƱa psychologist in full extemporaneous cry as participant in a panel discussion on tiny Qatar’s influential TV station Al Jazeera.
But now – do the wonders of the Internet have no limit? – Jerry Pounds, an esteemed email buddy of mine in Georgia (and a personal friend of my own Knoxville-based bosom-friend Perry Nelson, the primary mover and shaker who did everything short of bludgeon me into my fairly recent involvement with bloggery) has rushed to our collective rescue. For security reasons I’ll avoid even mentioning the location of this emergency substitute for what got zapped off the Al Jazeera site.
In this telecast excerpt, Wafa Sultan blasts Islamic fundamentalists, especially for their supercilious attitude towards women, with rare forensic virtuosity, and I urge everyone reading this to drop everything and revel in her magnificent performance.
