I was not aware of Paul's stroke until today--I unfortunately have not accessed his site as often as I might have. If whoever gets or sees this can let him know that, now having found out, Leonard Marcus is stretching his hand from Massachusetts across the sea and half of Europe to wish him not just well but if necessary a miracle for a quick and complete recovery. Paul and I have had many relationships going back to the 1960s, none more valuable to me than as friends. I am concerned that the last posting on his site, by anybody, is dated March 3.
