I had no idea that Paul has been sick. I just realized that I hadn't heard from him in quite a while... nearly four months, as it turns out. Please put me on your distribution list, and please give him my love. He must miss Maxe terribly. I'm so glad to read here that he at least gets visits from his beloved companion. I have known Paul since I was an infant. My mother considered him her best friend (they knew each other as teenagers in El Paso). I visited Paul when he lived in San Francisco and six years ago in Berlin. I love him. If this is of any possible interest, my brother became aphasic after an ill-advised operation for epilepsy. Ever after, he was much better able to speak in Spanish, his second language, than English. Thank you for maintaining this blog.
